Screening Questions

The Screening Questions section allows you to create and manage questions that candidates must answer during their application process. These questions help you quickly evaluate candidates based on specific criteria and requirements.

Accessing Screening Questions

  1. Navigate to the Job Management dashboard
  2. Click on the “Details” button of any job card
  3. The slideover menu will open on the right side of the screen
  4. Select “Screening Questions” from the left navigation menu

Question Types

The platform supports two types of screening questions:

Yes/No Questions

  • Simple binary responses
  • Ideal for basic requirements
  • Can be used for filtering candidates
  • Example: “Do you have 3+ years of experience?”

Text Questions

  • Free-form responses
  • Allows detailed candidate information
  • Useful for specific requirements
  • Example: “What is your notice period?”

Managing Questions

Adding Questions

  1. Click the “Add Question” button
  2. Select the question type (Yes/No or Text)
  3. Enter your question
  4. Click “Save” to add the question

Editing Questions

  1. Click on any existing question to edit
  2. Modify the question text or type
  3. The “Save” button will become active (orange color)
  4. Click “Save” to update the question

Deleting Questions

  1. Click the “X” button in the top-right corner to delete the question
  2. The question will be removed from the screening process

Screening questions are pre-filled based on the questions added during job posting. You can modify them at any time while the job is active.

Changes to screening questions will affect all new applications. Existing applications will retain their original questions.

Question Management Tips

When creating screening questions:

  • Keep questions clear and concise
  • Focus on essential requirements
  • Avoid discriminatory language
  • Consider the candidate’s perspective
  • Use appropriate question types
  • Limit the number of questions to maintain engagement

The left navigation menu in the slideover includes:

  1. Application Details
  2. Job Description
  3. Import Candidates
  4. Screening Questions (current section)
  5. Options

Closing the Details Panel

  • Click the “X” button in the top-right corner to close the slideover

Viewing Responses

To view candidate responses to screening questions:

  1. Navigate to the Candidate List View
  2. Click on a candidate’s profile
  3. Go to the Screening Questions tab
  4. Review their responses to each question
