Creating an Assessment with AI
If you choose to create a new assessment with AI, the platform guides you through a step-by-step wizard to customize your assessment:
Step 1: Initiate the AI Assessment Creation
After selecting “Create with AI” in the assessment wizard and clicking “Next Step,” you’ll be presented with the AI assessment creation interface.
Step 2: Configure Assessment Parameters
Define Topics
- The platform pre-populates skill sets relevant to the job requisition
- You can select from these suggested topics or add custom ones
- For custom topics, simply type in the skills you want to assess (e.g., “strategy”)
- You can use natural language to describe what you want to assess, such as “I want to gauge the candidate on specific aspects”
Set Difficulty Level
- Choose from three options:
- Basic: For entry-level assessments
- Intermediate: For mid-level positions
- Advanced: For senior or specialized roles
- This setting determines the complexity of questions generated
Define Test Duration
- Select from predefined options:
- 30 minutes
- 60 minutes
- 90 minutes
- The platform will adjust question length and quantity based on your selection
Select Language
- Currently set to English by default
- This defines the language in which questions will be generated
Customize Question Types
- Click on “Add Question Type” to specify the format and quantity
- For each question type, set the desired quantity:
- Text-based questions: Free-form responses
- Multiple-choice questions: Select from options
- Audio questions: Verbal responses
- Coding questions: Technical challenges
- Example configuration:
- 5 text-based questions
- 2 multiple-choice questions
- 1 audio question
Step 3: Generate Questions
After configuring your parameters, click the “Generate” button to create your assessment. The AI will process your requirements and create a tailored set of questions based on your specifications.
The AI generation process takes only a few seconds to create a complete assessment with all specified question types.
Step 4: Review and Customize Generated Questions
Once generated, you can:
- Review each question individually
- Delete unwanted questions by clicking the delete icon
- Duplicate questions by clicking the duplicate icon and making modifications
- Manually add additional questions by clicking “Add a Question”
- Regenerate the entire assessment by clicking “Regenerate” if needed
Step 5: Name Your Assessment
Before proceeding, you must provide a name for your assessment:
- Enter a descriptive name in the “Enter Assessment Name” field (e.g., “Preliminary Assessment Round”)
- The name you provide will appear in the email sent to candidates, so choose a professional and clear title
Once an assessment has been sent to even a single candidate, it becomes uneditable. You can, however, always create a new assessment with full editing capabilities.
Preview and Sharing Features
Before sending an assessment, you can use two powerful preview options:
Candidate Experience Preview
This feature lets you see exactly how the assessment will appear to candidates:
